ALINE
VERNEY
Aline Verney grew up in Mandeure, a little village in France. At the
age of 19 she moved to Strasbourg to study there. Initially she wanted
to become a math teacher; but she liked studying and in 2000 she graduated
with a diploma in Discrete Mathematics.
After that, Aline moved to Berlin where she lived for almost two years
before she moved to Kaiserslautern.
Since about two years Aline Verney works at the University of Kaiserslautern
as a scientific cooperator at the AG
ICSY,
amongst other things, on the project StadtTechnopole.
Her hobbies are listening to music every day (at the moment Jérôme
Minière, Hektor Zazou, Stereo’s Mc, Zentertaiment 2004, Danger Mouse,…),
photography (argent b-w and digital) and reading (last book: Boris
Vian I Shall Spit on Your Graves + SF Freaks, especially Frank
Herbert and Orson Scott Card + Poet: Baudelaire, Une Charogne
(A Carcass) – Rimbaud – Verlaine).
Her favorite sport is Karate but she also likes to swim.
Aline Verney about the Art Rimbaud Project 2004:
„I’m not an artist and only did it cause the concept interested me.
I read Rimbaud when I was a teenager and to read him again when one
has lived for a while opens up a new dimension and meaning of the
poems.
I got to know Martin and Roland through Inka Blum and the contact
was good. It’s another reason why I decided to participate. We recorded
two songs, The Kissing Game [Reise in Den Winter] and
the Text for the transition between the songs, as a test. It sounded
like Martin and Roland had envisioned it.„
