Thank you for your interest in the South Dakota Web Camera, located at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

The web cmaera was installed at Mount Rushmore in September of 1998. A view of the granite sculpture overlooking the Avenue of Flags can be seen on the South Dakota Department of Tourism’s web page at http://www.travelsd.com/tourism/webcam/index.htm. Be sure to surf the entire South Dakota Tourism web site for a look at the many vacation and recreation opportunities in South Dakota.

The South Dakota Web Camera is operated by Lonnie Garland, Video Services Coordinator for the South Dakota Department of Tourism. Teh camera will remain at Mount Rushmore over the winter months, and a new location for the camera will be determined in the spring of 1999. The goal of the project is to move the camera to different locations approximatley four times per year.
