Bryan Coxall meint zu seinem Projekt:
The camera shows a River Thames panorama: taking in Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the moored museum warship HMS Belfast, London Bridge, and all the activity on the water and the shore. The high-quality camera image, complete with a zoom capability, is livestreamed, so viewers will see it update literally every few seconds — maybe every 5 or 6 seconds on a 28,800 modem. (And that means the image alone, not the page, making for hassle-free viewing.) The camera can pan through 360 degrees, so the view will be varying all the time.
The Thames scene is spectacular even at night, with the Bridge, the Tower and the warship floodlit. But for those who find their leisure hours almost always coincide with London darkness, and who want to see daylight, we are also making available a recorded daytime sequence.
The site has many other attractions to keep viewers coming back, as you’ll see when you access it. We’ll be showing local events such as big ships arriving. Even as we launch, there’s been a riverside street party for New Year’s Eve, and fireworks close to Tower Bridge.
We are beta testing now to iron out final glitches, but the site is already live. We would appreciate any publicity you can give us. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. It would help to have confirmation from you that you have received this email. Also alles Gute! Wenn Du noch Fragen hast, stehen wir zur Verfuegung!
